Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of all finance activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. This role will involve directing financial activities, preparing reports, and providing strategic recommendations to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage finance, accounting, administrative, and procurement teams.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and executive management team.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Establish and maintain risk management processes, including internal controls, compliance, IT, and operational risks.
- Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes; oversee financial reporting.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Review and improve finance, procurement, and IT-related procedures.
- Advise on M&A activities.
- Manage cash flow, investments, budgeting, F/X, and financial reporting to drive financial strategy.
- Establish and maintain company-wide KPIs.
- Coordinate the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and monitor performance against these budgets.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, reporting, and internal control activities to ensure compatible cash flow with company operations.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to ensure strong fiscal management, project management, and cross-team communication.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements.

- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory agencies.
- Advanced understanding of accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Experience in raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required). An MBA or CPA (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in the finance industry with a proven track record of excellence.
- 5+ years in executive leadership positions.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors in a PE setting or publicly traded company.
- Manufacturing and international experience (an asset).
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.
